Hi! the weather is great on Lake Mateos, with a High of 85 and a low of 60. Fish are hitting in 5 to 20 feet of water with visibility to 10 feet. Spinner baits are still doing great. Worms starting to pick up. catches running from 30 to 100 bass per boat. With one 10 pounder and two 11 pounders caught so far this week. The lake level is at 50% and as it continues to drop the fishing will only get better. Lake Mateos Bass Lodge is almost full for April. Weather is great! Catches running 150 Bass per day up to 7.5 pounds. With several larger fish broke off. Lake level at 50 %. Water clear to 8 feet. Camp almost full for April. Better come while they are hitting.

The weather is great, low’s in the 50’s high 84. Bass up to 11 pounds being landed. Average fish 4 to 5 pounds 65 to 75 fish per boat each day. Copper colored spinnerbaits and watermellon lizards doing well. Fish holding at 2 to 10 feet. Water clear 8 to 10 feet. Lake at 70% capacity. Food is great come on down.
The water level of Lake Mateos is at 70%. For the most part fish are being caught all day long on plastic worms, Spinner Baits, Rattle Traps and Buzzbaits. Catches are still running up to 100 fish per day. In March watch for our fishing show made by Fishtv. It should be on in your area then.

Bass fishing is fantastic with fish over 10 pounds being caught and catches of up to 200 fish per day. The top water action is hot! The weather is fantastic. We still have a few openings for the season so, do not be left out in the cold. Book now while the fishing is HOT! HOT! HOT!

Notes: What a great way to start the season! Boats are averaging 75-100+ fish per boat daily! For our first group, they had several fish in the 9-11 pound range! Congrats to Mac for catching the biggest fish of the week weighing in at 11.8 pounds!!!
