We have not set exact dates yet but are thinking one trip between June & August and a second one in November. As we are waiting for your response to this e-mail. Each group will be limited to 16 people so Mike and I can get to know each of you. We have several packages which even allow for non- fishermen to come at a very much discounted price as there are many things to do in La Paz. The motel we will be staying at has all the amenities for those who like to be pampered. So please call so we can help you plan a great triple treat fishing trip.

FISHING REPORT FOR JAN. 2012

FROM J.C. AND LYNN GALLOWAY AT AZTEC LAKES BASS FISHING.

Fishing and Lake report Jan. 19th -27th 2012.

Well as expected the spawning season started about the middle of Jan and is well underway. We caught fish that were on bed and both pre and post spawn. I still think the spawn will be over by the end of February or by March 15th at the latest. So I would recommend if you are planning to come you need to book right now or you will miss the spawn. The water temp is from 68 to 73 degrees. Water clarity is 1 to 7 feet. The largest fish caught this month were 7 to 8 pounds and the highst number caught by one person in a day was 61. All the lakes in this area have low water levels and the fish are becoming more concentrated.  Lake Mateos still has large amounts of water over 70 feet deep and up to 175 feet deep at this time.

Most fish were caught on small green and black worms, Rattel Traps, crank baits and spinner baits. Most fish like all baits worked really slow.

Colby Simms and his group will be arriving at Lake Mateos the last part of Feb. We still have room for two more guests with this group.

As you can see there is plenty of structure to be fished even in low water.
